Miss Daisy Harrison, Headmistress and Owner

   

 

Miss Daisy Harrison

   

Miss Daisy started her teacher training by studying the Montessori method and working in a small nursery school in Fulham. Miss Daisy then went onto to gain a BA(Hons) in Early Years Education and teach at Thomas’s Battersea. After four years, Daisy moved onto Garden House Boys School where she ran the early years department. Miss Daisy had always dreamt of opening her own nursery school in London and in September 2006, Miss Daisy’s Belgravia opened in Ebury Square. In January 2008, Miss Daisy was awarded an Early Years Professional Status and throughout these years Miss Daisy was on the look out for a suitable premises for a second school in Chelsea. In September 2009, Miss Daisy designed and created Miss Daisy’s Chelsea, which opened in January 2010. Miss Daisy is headmistress for both schools and splits her time equally between Belgravia and Chelsea.


CHELSEA

Miss Cerine Kanafani -
Deputy Headmistress and Kindergarten Teacher

     
    Cerine previously taught at the Beanstalk Montessori Nursery School and then the Dormouse Montessori Nursery School. Cerine has a Montessori Diploma and a BA in Early Childhood Studies and she teaches a small group in the kindergarten classroom.
Miss Cerine became Deputy Headmistress in September 2011.

Miss Sophie Daynes- Kindergarten Teacher

     
    Sophie has an NVQ (level 3) in childcare and teaches the three year olds in the kindergarten classroom.

Miss Emily Grievson- Kindergarten Teacher

     
    Emily joined Miss Daisy's Nursery in March 2011. Emily is fully qualified with an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years.

Miss Sophie Carter - Nursery School Teacher

     
    Miss Sophie Carter teaches in the nursery classroom. Miss Sophie has a GTP qualification in primary education and taught for four years at Knightsbridge School.

Miss Damini Alg- Nursery School Teacher

   

Damini trained as a Montessori teacher and then went on to teach at Chelsea Kindergarten for sixteen years before joining Miss Daisy’s Chelsea. Damini teaches the youngest group in the nursery.

Miss Anna Goike - School Assistant

     
   

Anna is the school assistant and has an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years

Miss Zoe Stewart -Nursery School Teacher

     
    Miss Zoe teaches in the nursery school classroom.

Miss Peli Hepworth- School Assistant

     
    Miss Peli is the school assistant and helps in both the Chelsea and the Belgravia school.

       
BELGRAVIA      

Miss Perrin Sole - Deputy Headmistress and Kindergarten Teacher

    Perrin graduated from Rhodes University, South Africa with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Psychology and English Language and Linguistics. Perrin then completed an honours year graduating with a First in a Post Graduate Certificate in Education specialising in the Foundation Phase. Miss Perrin is the Deputy Headmistress and Manager.

Miss Shirley Timmins - Kindergarten Teacher

     
   

Shirley has a Diploma in pre-school practice, level
NVQ 3. Shirley started her teaching career at Downsend Pre-Prep School in Surrey before joining Miss Daisy’s Nursery School.

Miss Africa Sort- Chilvers - Nursery Teacher

     
    Africa started as an assistant and is now fully qualified with an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years. Africa is a nursery teacher.

Miss Minnie Nevill - Nursery Teacher

     
    Minnie has taught at Miss Daisy's since it opened in September 2006. Minnie has an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years and teaches the youngest children.

Miss Georgia Harrison

     
    Georgia started as an assistant in September 2010 and holds an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years. Georgia is now a nursery school teacher and has her own group of children.

SPECIALIST STAFF      

Madame Mathilde - French

     
    All the children have a french lesson each week at school.
Mathilde is part of Club Petit Pierrot and always makes sure the lessons are fun and exciting each week.

Mr Ben Hawkes - Sport

     
    Mr Ben from 'Little Kickers' teaches sport once a week in the gardens. Ben also helps organise sports day with Miss Daisy.

Miss Kat and Miss Claire - Yoga Bugs Teachers

     
    The children have a yoga class once a week. Yoga bugs classes bring stories to life through specially developed moves inspired by yoga.

SCHOOL SECRETARY      

Miss Susie Cleeve

     
    Miss Susie Cleeve is the school secretary for both schools.
